As you know, the 57th of Annual IVSA Summer Congress will take place in İstanbul, Turkey.
 Turkey, in its formal name The Republic of Turkey, which is located in the intersection part of the Asian and the European continents, in Northern Hemisphere, is a dynamic and modern country with a population over 73 million consisted of mainly youngsters and with a history of 16 major republics have been constructed in the 4th century BC till today. Our congress will take place in Istanbul, the metropole of Turkey which has the capacity to compete with the other world metropoles.
Istanbul, which has been the capital city for different empires through 7500 years, is the most crowded city of Turkey and the Europe with a population of approximetly 11 million. It is one of the most crowded eight cities in the world. And with its 133 billion dollars of yearly manufacturing, it’s located in the 34th rank of the World. It is the cultural and financial center of Turkey. And it is built in the northwest part of Turkey, aroun The Bosphorus and Halic. Istanbul is the only city in Europe which has living quarters both in Asian and European continents. As one of the oldest cities in the World, Istanbul has been the capital city for Oy-Urum Atin Sultanate in 5500 BC, Roman Empire in the years of 330-395, Latin Empire in the years of 395-1204 and 1204-1261, Bizantine Empire in the years of 1261-1453 and the Otoman Empire in the years of 1453-1922. The historical places in İstanbul have been listed in the World Heritage List in 1985. And also it has been chosen as the “European Capital of Culture” of the year 2010.
Our targets during the congress are given below:
The students will have the chance to get to know the Turkish animal breeds, horse farming and the horse races, Turkish farms, the status of pet husbandary in Turkey and also will be given the main trainings about the veterinarian medicine.
As IVSA Turkey, we all started the preparetions for the 57th of Annual IVSA Summer Congress ’08 to provide you the most beautiful atmosphere by progressing in nice company, nice memories, different cultures and of course, in the vocation.
